My professional speaking and teaching began when I participated in an education session at the Society of American Archivists annual meeting in 1998. I've presented at SAA a number of times, also presented and taught workshops with regional archival associations such as Northwest Archivists, Conference of Intermountain Archivists, and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference. My audiences have included historians, anthropologists, archivists, attorneys, librarians, museum curators, and a church group.

I've taught and/or spoken on a variety of topics including archival research techniques, the basics of archives practice, more advanced archival practice, job searching strategies, and ePortfolios.
