Brian was at Mason Gross School of the Arts from 2015-2016 for a Master in Light Design and is taking a year off before trying a different school. While at Mason Gross School of the Arts he designed the lights for small show titled Franny’s Way. Brian started at University of Alaska, Anchorage in 2011 and graduated in May 2015. He has been working as a light designer for companies in Anchorage, AK such as Anchorage Community Theatre (Designed: Inspecting carol, On Golden Pond, Proof, I hate hamlet), Alaska Theatre of Youth (Designed: Beauty and the Beast Jr, Sleepy Hallow Jr, Summer Camp for Kids), Cyrano’s (Designed: Title of show, Miss Witherspoon, Le Bette, Red), Momentum Dance Company, and Pulse Dance Company and Theatre Artist United (designed: Jesus Christ Superstar). While working for these companies, He has also designed at UAA such as When You Comin Back Red Ryder, M Butterfly, and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. While doing all this in Alaska he worked on the IATSE Crew as an Electrician and a Light Board Operator. Brian also worked in the scene shop at UAA as a shop assistant and helped build sets and weld parts of set. From 2005 till 2010 Brian served in the US Army for five years. He served two tours in Iraq during his five years with the US Army. From 2000-2005 Brian worked for a few theatre companies one of which was and Equity theatre in California. Brian worked for Foothill Theatre Company (Equity theatre) in both Nevada City and in Lake Tahoe at the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare festival as an electrician and a carpenter as well as at the fairgrounds in grass valley hanging lights. As well as at Garneau’s Dinner Theatre as a Master Electrician, carpenter, and spot operator. Brian enjoys working in theatre and doesn’t want to do anything else in his life.
