After working for Hilcorp Alaska, LLC for the previous eight months I believe that my environmental knowledge has greatly increased. Using what I have learned in school and the hands on experience I have gained while doing environmental work as helped shape and grow my environmental knowledge. 

I now understand much deeper the relationship between us humans and the environment that we live in. There are many threats that we pose to the natural environment both locally and globally. Participating in things like the Anchorage Climate Action Plan in school and also doing carbon test at work on quad ZZZZ engines has helped me gain a real understanding on how we are affecting the globe with our carbon emissions. There is a delicate balance between nature and human development, but if we all don't have the same goal we are treading on a point of no return.
