This page contains instructions for completing your Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) application. You should only submit this application when you have met with an advisor to ensure you meet the qualifications to apply. The application deadline is February 15. This deadline is strictly adhered to; please plan ahead!

There is a Video Tutorial link on the left side of this page that gives instructions on completing and submitting your DPD application.

 

Please read and follow the instruction carefully:

  • Save a copy of this template as your own application ePortfolio. Save your ePortfolio using the following naming structure:
    DPD Application Year FirstName LastName
    (for example: DPD Application 2017 Kendra Sticka)
  • Do not delete any instruction or items on any of the pages in this ePorfolio application. On each page, you will be instructed to either type information directly on the page or upload a file, but the text included as instructions should not be deleted. In places that you are to add information, the text of what information to include is in bold. Please add your information following that in non-bold text.
  • Provide all information requested. If something does not apply, you may indicate that, but do not leave sections blank.
  • Do not change the sections, pages, or ordering of sections/pages.
  • You may change the look and feel of your ePortfolio application by changing the banner, colors, etc. (not required).

Do a double check!  Application checklist:

  • Each section and page of the ePorfolio DPD Application Template is complete.
  • Letter of application complete and checked for gramatical and spelling errors.
  • Video meets requirements and addresses each question asked.
  • Pre-requisite coursework table uploaded.
  • Recommendations requested and confidentiality statement acknowledged.

Submitting your application:

You must meet with a Dietetics & Nutrition academic advisor to ensure you meet the requirements to apply. At that time, you must request to be added to the DPD Application Assessment Group. You should plan to do this at least 2 weeks prior to the application deadline.

 

Once you have been added to that Assessment Group and you are ready to submit your final application, complete the following steps.

  • Go to the "Portfolio Tools" at the top right side of the page
  • Select "Submit"
  • Choose the assignment "DPD Application Submission" to submit to
  • Select all items in the portfolio
  • Submit your portfolio
