Sign in to YouTube.com. If you don't already have an account, use your UAA email address and register for an account. If you need to create an account, it is free and you can fill out your Google Account information, agree to the terms and click next step.

When you are in your account, click Upload.

Unlisted means only those with the URL or embed code can access the video. It is not searchable in YouTube or on the web.

Private means only those with special permissions can access the video. It is not searchable in YouTube or on the web.

Public means anyone can watch the video. It is searchable and on the web.

Select the privacy settings you want.

Click on the Arrow or drag and drop videos into the arrow icon.

It may take a while to upload the video. It depends on the size of file, the speed of your internet connection, and the length of your video.

To share the link or embed the video:

When the file has been downloaded, it will be given a YouTube URL. Click the URL (or copy and paste it into a new window) and view the page the video is on.

Select Share. You can copy the URL and paste it anywhere you wish the video to live as a hyperlink or email it to those who you're sharing it with. You can also embed the video. Embedding the video allows a view to see a thumbnail of the video rather than a hyperlink. To embed the video, click Embed and copy the embedding code. Paste the embed code where you want the video to live.

To post the YouTube video in your ePortfolio, please click on the next tutorial.
