How to create a hyperlink
To add a hyperlink to your Rich Text Module, you must be linking to another online page. Always double check that what your are linking to is viewable for public viewers. (i.e. if you share a Google document, can anyone with a link view the document, or if you are linking to your LinkedIn, are you linking to the View Public Profile url?)
1. Select or highlight the url and copy the text by right clicking and selecting copy or by using a keyboard shortcut like Ctrl c.
2. Inside the Text Module, you will need to select or highlight either words or an image. The hyperlink option will not be selectable until you have highlighted content. After selecting the material, click on the Insert/Edit Link button.
3. Past the URL in the Link URL box by right clicking and selecting paste or using a keyboard shortcut Ctrl v. To have the link open in a new tab, select the Target drop-down box to Open in a New Window. To give a description to the URL, create a title that will appear when the mouse hovers over that hyperlink.
4. Remember to spell check every module,to save and to publish changes. Test your hyperlink after creating it, and periodically check for broken links.
