Dr. Hattie Harvey is an Asscociate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Alaska Anchorage. Prior to fall 2019, she was a faculty member in the Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education programs. Courses topics included introduction to early childhood, inclusive practices, and assessment and intervention in early childhood special education. Dr. Harvey is a nationally licensed school psychologist and licensed psychologist in the state of Alaska. Her research interests include assessment practices in early childhood, and social-emotional and behavioral interventions for young children.

Dr. Harvey loves spending time playing in the outdoors of Alaska - hiking, skiing, running, boating, fishing - the list goes on! She also is a proud mother of two inquisitive, adventurous and thoughtful boys, Baxter and Hamlin, and a wonderfully supportive husband, Brett!
