5. An ability to function on multidisciplinary teams.
Teamwork
Teamwork has been an enforced theme throughout the engineering program here at UAA. The program has incorporated many assignments and projects where the importance of group work in emphasized.
The most notable project that incorporated teamwork was our senior design course. This project required four civil engineers, including myself, and two mechanical engineering. This challenged our communication skills by not only making sure we fulfilled the requirements for our design of civil engineering systems course but in addition satisfy the requirements for the mechanical engineering department as well as our client's needs.
