Dr. Mueller's research examines the philosophical underpinnings of ecojustice and place-based education. He has authored over 60 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, presented over 100 conference papers, workshops and lectures, and has given keynote addresses and international talks. He works closely with doctoral students at institutions around the United States and other leaders in the science education community.

 

Dr. Mueller serves as the co-Editor-in-Chief of the Cultural Studies of Science Education Journal, and two book series, Cultural Studies of Science Education (Springer series 8286) and Environmental Discourses in Science Education (Springer series 11800).


Dr. Mueller served as the President of the Southeastern Association for Science Teacher Education in 2011.
