Hi,

I have been with the University of Alaska Anchorage for more than fifteen years. I was initially with the Institute for Social and Economic Research where I worked with a team to develop a website for things Alaska Native with an educator focus.  While alaskool.org is in great need of a software up date much of the material on the site is still in active use. I also assisted in the development of another website to support the teaching of Alaska Studies at the high school level akhistorycourse.org. In that website we generated a number of orginal essays on Alaska Native topics. That website is now supported by the Alaska Humanities Forum.

I teach, write and consult on aspects of Alaska Native history, social issues, for profit, non-profit and tribal governments. I also enjoy working with musuems on issues of representation about Alaska objects, cultures and current issues. I teach courses for both prospective and on-going educators on aspects of Alaska Native education and the context of teaching in Alaska.   I have also taught courses in multicultural issues in education, multicultural issues in Counseling, Alaskan educational leadership, aspects of Federal Indian law, and related topics. My interests are all things Alaska Native in social, governance and representations in history/media.
