In this position I performed the following duties for the Conference Services Department at the University of Alaska Anchorage:
Operate photocopiers, scanners, fax machines, voice mail systems, and computers.
Answer telephones, direct calls, and take messages.
Maintain and update filing and database systems, both manually and electronically.
Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, explain information, and address complaints.
Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities and/or business transactions.
Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports.
Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests.
Process and prepare documents, such as Journal Vouchers and deposits.
Operate calculators and computers to work with pay records, invoices, balance sheets, and other documents.
Receive and track payments by cash, check, or credit card, and record receipts for services.
Prepare invoices for non-UAA accounts.
Research internal and external customer billing issues.
Prepare purchase orders, reconcile invoices, and research discrepancies in Banner.
- Provide aid and support to supervisors and co-workers whenever necessary.
