With ample outdoor activities just outside your door, it is also a great focal location for trips to Denali National Park, Seward, Homer and Prince William Sound. It boasts a bustling downtown packed with museums, art, music and cultural sites.

Kincaid Park in Anchorage hosts many events each year, including international cross-country skiing competitions, Special Olympics, Tuesday Night Races and thousands of trail users, sledders, mountain bikers and walkers. Wildlife view is great in the park, with a local herd of moose and pods of beluga whales sometimes swimming past.
